Jeff Haber is a certified Level 2 USA Hockey coach who hopes to pass on his love and enthusiasm for this great game to our 8U players. He grew up in Southern California wanting to be a football player, but when his parents put a ban on tackle football Jeff shifted his focus to hockey and went to the local library to arm himself with books on hockey gear and safety. Reluctant but impressed with their eleven-year old’s determination, Jeff’s parents bought him a pair of skates and enabled what turned out to be a life-long obsession for the sport. He soon joined the team at Bay Harbor where he played for the next seven years. Jeff continued to play hockey for the USC while studying architecture. He was lucky to be mentored by coaches whose greatness went beyond making him into a good player; Jeff hopes to be one of those coaches for our young players. In his time away from the rink Jeff works as an architect building and renovating libraries for the County of Los Angeles.
