Former Los Angeles Jr. King Dustin Wolf was named the Western Hockey League (WHL) Goaltender of the Week and league nominee for the Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the week ending March 3.

In two appearances, Wolf sported a 2-0 record to compliment a 0.48 goals-against average and .981 save percentage. In the process, Wolf also became the first goaltender in Silvertips’ franchise history to win 38 games in a season.

On Friday, Wolf stopped 21 of 22 shots in a 2-1 home victory over the Tri-City Americans. The following night, Wolf turned aside all 32 shots he faced in a 1-0 overtime win over the Seattle Thunderbirds marking his seventh shutout this season while earning both First Star of the Game and the WHL’s First Star of the Night honors. 

On the season, Wolf holds a 39-13-1-0 record to go along with a 1.72 goals-against average and .935 save percentage.

Last month, NHL Central Scouting recognized Wolf on its midterm rankings of 2019 draft-eligibles; the 2001 birth year is listed No. 17 among North American goaltenders.

Wolf was also named the WHL Goaltender of the Week for the weeks ending Oct. 28, Nov. 25, Dec. 9 and Jan. 27 and WHL Goaltender of the Month for December. He was named the CHL Goaltender of the Week for the weeks ending Dec. 9 and Jan. 27.
