Six players who skated with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings this past season, along with five alumni, were invited to participate in their respective birth years at this year’s USA Hockey National Select Camps, which will be held over the summer in Amherst, N.Y.

Forwards Andre Gasseau (pictured) and Danny Minnehan and defensemen Pavel Bocharov, Aidan Hreschuk, Ty Murchison and Alex Panameno - all of whom skated within the Los Angeles Jr. Kings program this past season - were invited to participate in their respective birth years at this year’s USA Hockey National Select Camps, which will be held over the summer in Amherst, N.Y.

The group was selected after their strong performances at this year's Pacific District Player Development Camps, which were showcased last weekend in Las Vegas. Hreschuk and Murchison, both of whom will play for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program (NTDP) next season, received direct invitations to the National Camp as did Minnehan, who participated in March's NTDP Evaluation Camp.

“This is an outstanding and well-deserved accomplishment for these young men,” said Jr. Kings general manager of hockey operations Nick Vachon. “Being recognized by USA Hockey on a national level is an honor and speaks volumes to both the talent and character of these kids and our organization from a player development standpoint.”

The 2003-born (Select 16s) Hreschuk, a Boston College recruit, Minnehan and Murchison all played for the Jr. Kings’ state champion 16U this past season. Gasseau skated on the program’s 15U AAA team.

Bocharov and Panameno, 2004-borns (Select 15), played for the Jr. Kings' 14U AAA team in 2018-19.

Five former Jr. Kings - forwards Sam Deckhut (Select 17), Arvega Hovsepyan (Select 16), Tristan Rand (Select 17) and Anthony Yu (Select 15) and defenseman Shai Buium (Select 16) - were also invited to participate in their respective national camps.
