Drew Vieten, who skated for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings’ 18U AAA team last season, was selected in yesterday’s North American Hockey League (NAHL) Draft.
Vieten, a 2001-born forward who led his club in Tier I Elite League scoring with 30 points (17 goals) in 29 games, was chosen in the fourth round (93rd overall) by the Minnesota Wilderness.
The NAHL is considered one of North America’s premier junior leagues when it comes to developing players for NCAA hockey. It has also groomed countless players for the professional ranks, including the NHL.
