The Los Angeles Jr. Kings are excited to have signed some talented out-of-state hockey players for the coming season and looking for families interested hosting one or two of these players.

These young men would play for our Midget 18UAAA team beginning in August under the direction of head coach Chase Souto. Hosting a young hockey player and student-athlete is a rewarding, positive and life-changing experience for the entire family that extends well beyond the season.

The primary responsibilities of a host or “billet” family - aside from providing a safe, caring and positive environment - is to provide room and board and daily meals, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. All incoming players this season have their own transportation so any travel to and from school, practice and or games isn't necessary.

Also, all personal expenses are the responsibility of the player. Each host family will also be entitled to a monthly billet fee, which would cover cost of food and basic incidentals. Billet fees are determined by the host family but typically are between $350-$500 per month.

By sharing your home for as little as a few months, a semester or a school year, you'll be giving an exceptional young student-athlete the opportunity of a lifetime.

If you or someone you know are interested, please contact Jr. Kings general manager of hockey operations Nick Vachon at nick@jrkingshockey.com or (310) 709-1738 immediately for more details.
