Former Los Angeles Jr. King Gavin Nieto was named the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Nov. 3.

A senior at Brown University, Nieto backstopped his club to a split in a home-and-home series with Yale University, including a 5-1 victory in the Bears' home-opener on Saturday.

He led all ECAC goalies with 57 saves over the weekend and posted a .934 save percentage to go along with a 2.03 goals-against average in his two appearances. Nieto also made 33 stops in the season-opener at Yale on Friday (a 3-2 loss to the Bulldogs).

The accolade marks the second ECAC Goaltender of the Week award for Nieto in his career.
