The Los Angeles Jr. Kings' 18U AA, 16U AA1 and 12U AA1 teams will vie for state titles this weekend, while the 14U A and B and 10U A1 and B teams will play for berths in Sunday's SCAHA Championships.

Four Los Angeles Jr. Kings teams - 14U A and B and 10U A1 and B - advanced through the quarterfinal round of the Southern California Amateur Hockey Association (SCAHA) playoffs in their respective divisions to punch their tickets to this weekend’s semifinal round, which will be played on March 14 at various Southern California rinks.

Under the direction of head coach Tony Rudy, the Jr. Kings’ 14U A club (pictured) will face off against California Wave 1 in its semifinal at Ice Station Valencia, while the Chet Carlbom-led 14U B squad will play Goldrush Hockey Club at Goleta’s Ice in Paradise.

Led by head coach Andrew Stone, the Jr. Kings’ 10U A1 team will take on Anaheim Jr. Ducks 2 in its semi in Valencia, and the Carlbom-led 10U B squad will play San Diego Jr. Gulls 2 in the Flight II division at Anaheim’s KHS Ice Arena.

The winners of each semifinal will advance to the SCAHA Championships, which will be played the next day (March 15) at El Segundo's Toyota Sports Performance Center - home of the Jr. Kings and LA Lions - and also the California Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA) A/BB/B Championships, which will be showcased on March 27-28 in San Jose.

At the Tier II level, the Jr. Kings’ 18U AA team, led by head coach Sean Hoang, 16U AA1 squad, led by Ray Macias, and 12U AA1 team, led by head coach Jeff Bain, will all compete in this weekend’s CAHA State Championships, which will be played from March 13-15 at Ice-Plex Escondido.
