Sholl named to All-ECHL First Team

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Tomas Sholl was named to the All-ECHL First Team for the 2019-20 season. A goaltender for the Idaho Steelheads, he led the entire league with 28 wins along with an ECHL-best 2.14 goals-against average.

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Tomas Sholl was named to the All-ECHL First Team for the 2019-20 season.

A goaltender for the Idaho Steelheads, Sholl led the entire league with 28 wins, along with an ECHL-best 2.14 goals-against average and 2,465 minutes played (the most in the league). He also ranked second with five shutouts and tied for second with 1,070 saves.

Named the ECHL Goaltender of the Month twice this season, Sholl was also named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week four times in 2019-20.

Sholl, who last season earned a spot in the ECHL All-Star Classic while being named to the ECHL All-Rookie Team and All-ECHL Second Team, has appeared in 99 career ECHL games with Idaho and the Adirondack Thunder posting an overall record of 68-20-9 (12 shutouts).

The 25-year-old also has spent time in the Southern Professional Hockey League with Macon Mayhem and Evansville Thunderbolts where he went 14-3-3 with one shutout, a 2.53 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.

Prior to turning pro, Sholl saw action in 19 games over three seasons at Bowling Green State University going 7-10-0 with two shutouts, a 2.93 goals-against average and .891 save percentage.
