The LA Kings today named Nicole Brown as Executive Director of the LA Jr. Kings (LAJK) and LA Lions (LAL). The announcement was made in conjunction with American Sports Entertainment Company (ASEC), the operators of the Toyota Sports Performance Center in El Segundo where both youth hockey programs are based.

In her new role, Brown's responsibilities include leading the LAJK/Lions Advisory Board (LAJKLAB) in conjunction with the Kings and the Toyota Sports Performance Center executive teams, and acting as the primary liaison/representative for LAJK/LAL parents.

Brown, a hockey mom of four children in the program and a former college athlete who played competitive hockey in high school where she won two national championships, will also lead all club communication including serving as Chair of the Parent Advisory Committee and coordinating a club communication stream. She also now chairs the Parent Volunteer Action Group which includes rallying membership for various parent-run committees and the recruiting of membership for various parent-assisted activities.

"ASEC and TSPC welcome Nicole Brown as a key member of our management team. Nicole's background and knowledge will help TSPC elevate an already successful organization to new heights. Nicole will be instrumental in forging a parent coalition to better serve and understand the needs of the membership," said Brad Berman, ASEC President.

Brown also serves as a key member of the Disputes and Resolutions Committee and a member of the Financial Aid Committee.

"We have obviously known Nicole for a long time and her love for hockey, and youth hockey in particular, matches our passion for not only growing the game but making sure existing programs like the Lions and Jr. Kings complement our organization's core values of growing the game and creating families of lifelong Kings and hockey fans." said Kings Chief Operating Officer Kelly Cheeseman. "She also brings the invaluable perspective of having kids in our programs at all levels. She wants to make a difference and we are honored to have her join our team."

Brown is married to Kings forward Dustin Brown, the Kings' leader in games played all-time.
