Former Los Angeles Jr. King Shane McMahan has committed to attend and play his NCAA Division I hockey at Minnesota State University, Mankato following his junior career.
Now in his third season with the United States Hockey League’s Fargo Force - he began the year with the North American Hockey League’s Aston Rebels - McMahan, a forward from Colorado, has totaled 15 points (eight goals) through 21 games.
“Mankato is a great program,” McMahan said. “They're a contender every year and I fit in well with their systems and style of play.”
The Mavericks, led by head coach Mike Hastings, compete in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association and hold a 9-5-2 record in conference play (13-7-2 overall).
