The Los Angeles Jr. Kings have announced the field and schedule for their upcoming Presidents’ Day Challenge Tournament, which will run from Feb. 16-19.
Thirty-nine teams from Northern and Southern California, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Washington will compete in six divisions: Bantam AA and B; Pee Wee AA and B; Squirt A; and Mite B.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome so many distinguished programs from around the Western U.S. for what promises to be a competitive and entertaining four days of hockey,” tournament director Brian McDonough said. “Having so many out-of-town teams participate is exciting for both our local clubs and our visitors.”
Division champions will be awarded a banner and trophy, and all players on the championship teams will receive medals. Players on the runner-up teams in each division will also receive medals.
The Presidents’ Day Challenge is part of the Jr. Kings’ Tinseltown Tournament Series. Pre-registration is now open for the Series’ final event of the 2017-18 season: the Carmen Starr Memorial Day Classic (May 25-28).
