Modry commits to Merrimack College

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Jacob Modry has announced his commitment to attend and play his NCAA Division I hockey at Merrimack College following his junior career.

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Jacob Modry has announced his commitment to attend and play his NCAA Division I hockey at Merrimack College following his junior career.

Modry, a 1999-born defenseman, has three goals for 13 points through 28 games this season with the Wenatchee Wild of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL).

He played the previous two seasons in Wenatchee, winning the BCHL championship last season.

Modry posted on his Twitter: “Excited and proud to announce my commitment to Merrimack College. Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way!! #warriors

Led by head coach Scott Borek, the Warriors are members of Hockey East.
