Former Los Angeles Jr. King Dustin Wolf was named the WHL Goaltender of the Week and league nominee for the Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the third time this season after picking up three more victories in net for the Everett Silvertips.

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Dustin Wolf was named the Western Hockey League (WHL) Goaltender of the Week and league nominee for the Canadian Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Dec. 9.

Wolf posted a perfect 3-0 record, including one shutout, to compliment a 1.00 goals-against average and .967 save percentage to earn the honors for the third time this season.

Wolf’s week began on Wednesday with a 25-save performance in a 4-2 victory over the Spokane Chiefs. On Saturday, he put forth a season-high 43-save effort in a 2-1 win against the Seattle Thunderbirds. The next day, Wolf posted a 21-save shutout in a 2-0 triumph over the Chiefs.

On the season, Wolf, who selected by Everett in the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft, holds a 23-7-1-0 record, including three shutouts, to go along with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage.

NHL Central Scouting recognized Wolf on its “Players to Watch” list for 2019 draft-eligibles, which was released last month. The 2001-born goaltender is listed as a C-rated prospect, indicating a fourth-, fifth- or sixth-round draft candidate.
