Former Los Angeles Jr. King Gavin Nieto was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Jan. 27.

A junior at Brown University, Nieto backstopped the Bears to a pair of road wins over the weekend. He posted his first shutout of the season with a 3-0 win at RPI on Friday before making 26 saves in a victory over No. 16-ranked Union College the following night, including 13 stops in the third period.

On the season, the 22-year-old holds a 7-5-1 record to compliment a 2.45 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
