Ryan is a Southern California native from Yorba Linda. He was groomed by Jeff Turcotte at the California Wave from Mites to Minor Midget, winning a Bantam AAA national championship in 2003.
He continued his career at the Junior A level playing in the USHL, NAHL, and BCHL. In his final year of junior hockey he was part of the Vernon Vipers’ 2009 RBC National Championship team, also winning the Tubby Schmalz Trophy for Most Sportsmanlike player.
Ryan played his collegiate hockey at Boston University where he got the chance to play for Jack Parker. In his Senior season he was awarded the Bennett McInnis Award as the player who best represents a BU hockey player on and off the ice. After graduating in 2013, he went on to play professionally for two seasons in the East Coast Hockey League for the Reading Royals, South Carolina Stingrays, and Greenville Road Warriors.
Ryan has been involved in local Turcotte Hockey Schools since he was 16 and loves to coach. He is excited to get involved in youth development where he is passionate about helping young players reach their goals.
