The Los Angeles Jr. Kings extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Eric Easterson, who passed away suddenly earlier this week. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia, and three sons: Easton and Eric Jr., both of whom played for the Jr. Kings, and Noah.

Former Los Angeles Jr. King Jake Rosenbaum, who played his 16U AAA and 18U AAA seasons with the program, has committed to attend and play his NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth beginning this fall.

Sixty-five teams from Arizona, California, Minnesota, Utah, Texas, British Columbia and Toronto, as well as the Czech Republic and Russia, converged on three Southern California rinks last weekend to compete in the ninth annual Los Angeles Jr. Kings-hosted Carmen Starr Memorial Day Classic.

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings have announced the field and schedule for their 65-team Carmen Starr Memorial Day Classic, which will run from May 25-28 at three Southern California rinks. Teams from five states and two Canadian provinces, as well as the Czech Republic and Russia, will compete.

Seven players with ties to the Los Angeles Jr. Kings, including forward Thomas Stift, who played for the program’s Midget 15U AAA team this past season, were selected in this year’s USHL Draft, which was conducted on May 7-8.

Nine players who skated with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings this past season, along with three alumni, were invited to participate in their respective birth years at this year’s USA Hockey National Select Camps, which will be held over the summer in Amherst, N.Y.

The Los Angeles Jr. Kings are excited to announce a partnership with Driscoll Skating & Skills, which will conduct a two-week power skating-centric skills program in July at Toyota Sports Center (El Segundo) and The Rinks-Lakewood ICE (Lakewood).
